Majahua
Cangrejo y Toro
Twenty years old and still unlike anything else on the coast, Cangrejo y Toro is a grand estate on seven oceanfront acres between Majahua and Troncones, designed by its resident owner, world-renowned textile designer Nancy Winarick. It’s open-air luxury living at its finest, glamping done with a designer’s eye.
The Main Palapa is the heart of it: a soaring thatched roof, a gourmet kitchen, a library studio and a dining room facing the sea. A 70-foot lap pool seems to disappear into the ocean, and flows right into the living room.
Three suites, each uniquely designed and different from the others, stand apart from the palapa, which keeps everyone close but private. Dramatic landscaping winds between them, and horses live on the property.
Down by the water, a second dining room sits close to the beach, with a pizza oven. The beach couch with its fire pit is a highlight: the place to end the night, with the surf close enough to hear.
Rented whole to one group, up to six guests, with Nancy's Casita El Nuevo available as an option if more room is needed.
