Majahua Haven
Majahua Haven sits in Pescadores Villas, a small group of condos in Majahua, a fishing village with one of the best beaches on this coast. A landscaped path runs about thirty meters through the mangroves to a wide, flat stretch of sand. The sunsets there are spectacular.
The ground-floor one-bedroom opens through sliding doors to a private patio with its own plunge pool, outdoor dining, gas grill and outdoor shower. Inside, it’s one easy space: a king bedroom with air conditioning, a living room, a built-in desk looking out on the gardens, and a fully stocked kitchen with an espresso machine, ice maker and dishwasher. Much of the furniture is made locally, from parota wood, with regional textiles and handmade details.
Iguanas, herons and hummingbirds visit the garden most mornings. A larger shared pool—with loungers and a sandy beach club with a charcoal grill—are down the path. Majahua’s beachfront restaurants are a short walk, and Majahua Point is minutes away.
