All around Troncones are jungle paths, hidden waterfalls, hot springs and rocky reefs as well as caves filled with petroglyphs and myths (a few bats, too). Guides can take you on foot or by horseback into the Sierra Madres or you can go rogue and set off on your own, but talk to someone and scout your trail before you go–know where it starts and ends, get a sense of the terrain and its elevations, and make sure you stay hydrated.
